Pro Bono
The term “pro bono” is a Latin expression that means “for the public good or for the benefit of the community.” In the US and Europe, the pro bono services offered by law firms to disadvantaged individuals and groups refer to the provision of legal support and litigation services without requesting any fee.
At Ali Gül Law Office, we feel it is our duty to offer this service, which is not very common in Turkey, to our citizens and to ensure the establishment of a pro bono culture in our country.
The legal profession, unlike other professions, has a public quality. We are aware that seeking justice is one of the fundamental goals of lawyers and that we owe a debt to our society. With this intention, we ensure that disadvantaged individuals and groups in society also have access to meticulous and high-quality legal services.
We allocate a certain portion of our workforce to pro bono cases. We ask our employees to engage with at least one pro bono case annually.
We offer our pro bono service for individuals who have experienced violations of their freedom of expression and who are financially disadvantaged. For now, we aim to provide our pro bono service to different groups in the future as well.
